Competition 1 - Combined Individual Stableford - Pairs

  • This is the main Duke of Edinburgh Championship Competition format.
  • Tees: Men's tees applicaple - no provision for seniors. Ladies tees applicable.
  • Players must have an official handicap in order to compete in this competition.
  • To qualify for the Duke of Edinburgh Championship you must be 18 years or older.
  • The competing fourball will be required to split up into two teams of two players each.
  • The Individual Stableford points of the 2 players will be combined to achieve a total Stableford Points Score for each team.
  • Prizes will be awarded to the top 8 Pairs.
  • Ties:
    - These will be decided by a count-out of the last nine, six, three, two and final hole of the course regardless of the order played. If still the same then the last six, three, two and final hole of the front nine will be used.
    - If there is still no result there will be a sudden death play off using Stableford scoring with full handicap.
  • Distance only Measuring / GPS devices are allowed for the duration of the whole series including the World Finals.
  • The event is approved: SAGA02-14.

Competition 2 – Fourball - Alliance

  • Two Scores to count on all holes
  • Tees: Men's tees applicaple - no provision for seniors. Ladies tees applicable.
  • Should a player not have an official handicap then they must play off their last official handicap. Alternatively a maximum of 18 for men and 24 for ladies will apply.
  • Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 fourball Teams

The final prize includes:

  • A return ticket from Johannesburg to London in September 2013
  • All transfers to and from London Airport and the UK hotel
  • Hotel accommodation for 5 nights
  • Individual World Final for the Duke of Edinburgh Championship
  • World Pairs Trophy for the Duke of Edinburgh Championship
  • A round of golf at Mill Ride Golf and Country Club
  • A round of golf at Moor Park Golf Club
  • Invitation to play at the Royal Household Golf Club at Windsor Great Park
  • Prize Giving Gala Dinner at Windsor Castle with a member of the Royal Family
